What was New? (2000)

December 2000

Both my sisters and their families were up for Christmas! This was the 1st time Karen, Lester and Michelle had been up to Minnesota for a visit, it was very exciting to have everyone together for the holidays!

November 2000

Had a great thanksgiving!  Been cold and snowing.

October 2000

Ken Jr. and Rachel started new jobs.  Ken changed professions and now is in the heath care industry working for Medica in their claims and customer service areas.  Rachel is still in the child care field, but she switched to a new company.  Worked on several storage projects in the garage.

September 2000

We all took in the State Fair, nothing like a Cheese Curds and a Hot Dog on a Stick to bring back the memories. Kristi is now a Junior in High School, can you believe it?  Rachel's parents were back for a short visit and also took in the fair.  Sara just keeps growing!

August 2000

Dorothy and I just retuned from a short vacation in Northern California (Redwoods and along the coast north of San Francisco).  Dorothy checked out a few light houses and I talked her in riding the train from Fr. Bragg to Willits and letting me attend the NMRA Convention in San Jose.

You can now page Dorothy and Myself (Ken Sr.) On-line!

Ken Jr. and Rachel have both moved on to new careers and new jobs.

July 2000

Did you hear about the Great Eagan Flood?  On Friday the 7th it rained apx. 12-14" in and around our neighborhood and on the 8th it rained an additional 2". Fortunately, we didn't have any damage, but many of our neighbors were not so lucky. The highlight if want to call it that was a 20' wide river running across our street with a 30' water fall down to the lake. The "Blackhawk" River was on most TV News shows through out the weekend. We will post some photos when we get them developed. Here is some News Articles CityofEagan-7/9 WCCO-7/10 KARE11-7/8 KARE11-7/9
Dorothy and I are planning a short trip to Northern California, taking in the coast between San Francisco and Oregon, then on to San Jose for the NMRA Convention.

This is a Warning to all drivers in Minnesota, Kristi now has a car!  Drive at your own risk.  Kristi also has a new job, working at a Hallmark Store. Kristi is also working on updating her Pages.

May 2000

Kristi was confirmed on the 20th at the Cathedral in St. Paul. Kathy (my sister) stopped by for a short visit.  Kristi also turned "Sixteen", can you believe it?  She had a "Sweet Sixteen" Birthday party, complete with a bonfire.

April 2000

Added a NEW Travel Section, which highlights are vacations starting we got married!  I plan on adding Photos and Links of various locations in the near future, so check back!

Family members don't forget to checkout the updated Genealogy pages.  Dorothy, Kristi and myself went on a short vacation to Colorado and New Mexico. We first stopped and picked up Kevin in Breckenridge and then worked our way thru southwest Colorado and then spent several days exploring the area around Santa Fe and enjoying the Spring weather in New Mexico.  Had to take the new Escalade for a spin!

March 2000

Updated a majority of the Genealogy pages. I've made significant progress in the last month on tracing the Lunde side of the family back NINE generations. I would encourage you to check out the On-Line Family Tree. I have also started my research into the Krieger side, thanks to  Ginny Krieger, what I currently know is documented in the Krieger Family Tree and Reports. I have over 300 names recorded!

Family members, please make sure and let me know if any assumptions or data is incorrect!  I'm also looking from any information you may have on the Sandvik or Krieger trees. If you have any historic photo you would like to share please let me know.  I would be glad to scan then and return the originals.

February 2000

I Located some of my relatives on the West Coast, Kathy Myraas one of my cousins has provided a lot of new family tree information for the Lunde side. See the updated Charts and Report and the Ken Sr. Family History page.

January 2000

What do you think of the New "Look & Feel"?  Ken, Rachel and Sara's Pages back On-Line and Sara has learned the word NO, in a big way!
