Scenery was constructed on a base of Pink Foam Board, which was built up by
gluing multiple layers and then formed them to create the basic profile.
The Foam was coated with Plaster Cloth, Rock Casting of #1 Plaster and
blended together with Structural-Lite. I have some photos of the
Aspen Valley in my
Photo Gallery, if your interested.
 | All plastered areas were initially colored with a
light tan color and then flooded with a dark brown paint which was
partially removed using a wet sponge technique.
|
 | Finished areas were colored and highlighted using
acrylic paints, most of which are varies shades of Burnt Siena, Raw
Siena, Gray and White.
|
 | The
only structures completed to date surround the right-of-way, included a
wood trestle based on the Colorado Southern prototype, a snow shed and several other bridges and portholes.
|
Future plans include...
 | The construction of three additional Bridges on
the mainline.
|
 | The
construction of several structures and buildings for the towns of
Collins, Waynesville, the Triple-K Mine complex and buildings along the
right-of-way.
|
 | Completion
of the remaining "Rough Finished" Scenery Areas. |
