Gallery, I've provided a few photos of the Aspen Valley, taken along
the way starting with room preparation. The most recent photos show
the layout as it is today.

Prototype
Background, the Aspen Valley is a
freelance railroad based heavily on the "Denver & Rio Grande Western"
Railroad and it's operations during the late 60's and early 70's.

Layout Vision, the Aspen Valley is a HO and HOn3 layout depicting several independent
Scenic "Vistas" of Main Line Railroading thought the Rockies
in western Colorado and eastern Utah.

Construction commenced in 1995 with room construction and the layout was operationally complete with
a majority of the scenery in place for
layout tours during the National NMRA Convention (NorthStar'99) which was held
in Minneapolis/St.Paul in July of 1999.

Layout
Controls and electronics happens to be my passion and I devoted a
significant amount of time and energy into wiring and creating a
custom electronic and software system to control the Aspen Valley.
|
|
Scenery
and Structures, I have 50% of the scenery complete and many structures
an bridges still under construction. The good news is these
minor discretions don't stop train movements, which occur regularly.
