Adolph Krieger
Notes and Background Information
|
|
Notes:
Adolph Sr. left France his 3 brothers, when Adolph was 17 (Abt. 1889) to
prevent getting drafted by the German Army. Germany had annexed the
Alsace-Lorrain Region during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871) and it
was returned to France during World War I (1914-1918). They jumped ship
when arriving in America (Which means Emigration records may not exist).
Three of the brothers David, Adolph, Andre settled in Illinois and later
moved to Iowa (Woolstock area). The 4th brother (Lucien) went west and
the family lost contact with him. (Note: Information provided by Ginny
Krieger 2/2000)

Please Note:
I would like to acknowledge many family members for their help and
contributions, especially the contributions of Kathy Lundy, Kathy Myrass and
Ginny Krieger.
You may have noticed that several of the dates are XX'd out, this is to
protect the privacy of living family members. The actual rule I'm
using for XX'ing out the dates is anyone who's birthday is in the last 80 years.
If your a family member and would like the birthday information or you have
found an error, drop me a
EMail
or stop by our Guestbook.
